Our opponents won’t give up, so we can’t either. We must stop the EATS Act! ([link removed])

Friend,

Our opponents—massive industries who profit from animal abuse and have no regard for their suffering—will try anything to get the Ending Agricultural Trade Suppression (EATS) Act passed. They could include it in the upcoming Farm Bill as is or in another form. And it’s up to us to stop them.

They are desperate to see the EATS Act passed so they can continue to put profit over the humane treatment of animals. We’ve defeated them before, back when nearly identical legislation was proposed called the King Amendment. And we can win again, but only if we have you with us. Tell Congress to reject the EATS Act in any form it takes! ([link removed])

The EATS Act could be a death knell for the animal protections we’ve fought so hard to win. We must ensure our elected leaders defeat the EATS Act—and anything like it—for the sake of millions of animals. Please make your voice heard now.

The EATS Act could undo state-level protections for animals like mother pigs, egg-laying hens and calves raised for veal, as well as dogs in puppy mills, horses at risk of slaughter and potential victims of wildlife trafficking.

And because the EATS Act targets a wide range of state laws, it could also invalidate other crucial protections on issues such as pesticides, arsenic in food, chemicals in baby food, pollution standards for spraying sewage on crops, disease prevention and child labor.

We cannot let Congress pass the EATS Act. If we don’t fight back, millions of animals and people could suffer. Please tell your legislators to fight against legislation like the EATS Act and protect the vulnerable right now. ([link removed])

Thank you,
