Friends,

Today marks 22 years since the 9/11 attacks that changed our country forever.

I remember where I was on 9/11 and every moment of that day as I watched the searing images on my television. I’ll never forget that feeling of fear, uncertainty, and eventually devastation once we realized what happened.

But I’ll also never forget the way our country came together in the days, weeks and months that followed.

We should never forget what happened on 9/11. We should also use this day to recommit to the ideal that we’re stronger as a nation when we stick together. Whenever we let small differences tear us apart, we must come back to the principals of strength and unity that have gotten us through the darkest times as a nation.

Please join me in honoring the memories of the lives that were lost and sending strength to their loved ones on this dark anniversary.
