September is National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month, and the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) is dedicating this month to educating and supporting children affected by obesity and their families!

Today, more than 14.4 million children and teens in the U.S. are affected by obesity, making it the most common chronic disease of childhood. Childhood obesity can be a sensitive and complex topic, which is why we’ve developed a toolbox of resources to help children and families navigate their unique health journeys.

This month, we encourage you to explore and share these resources to learn more about childhood obesity and promote health and wellness in our families. We are making these resources available to all free of cost for the month of September (but you can access them year-round with a Premium Access Membership).

Here's a sneak peak of what you'll find in the toolbox:

Resources about Childhood Obesity:

Weight Matters Magazine Kid's Corner Articles:

Videos & Stories

Weight Bias and Weight-based Bullying

Our commitment to providing essential education wouldn’t be possible without the support of individuals like you.

Join us in making a positive impact on the lives of children and families by ensuring they have the tools and knowledge they need to thrive. By donating to the OAC, you directly contribute to the creation of these resources and help us reach even more families in need.
