Today, we come together to commemorate Patriot Day, a solemn occasion when we reflect on one of the darkest moments in our nation's history, the tragic events of 9/11. On this day, we remember the innocent lives lost and the profound impact it had on our country.

As we look back on that fateful day, we must never forget the incredible heroism displayed by Americans rushing to help one another as we faced the monstrous attacks on our homeland.
This day of tragedy did not defeat us. Instead, it united us, and we resolved to make America safe once more.

Today, as we remember the sacrifices made by countless individuals, it is our duty to honor their memory by upholding the values they held dear. We must recognize the same bravery and resilience that our nation displayed in its darkest hour. Just as we faced the threats of 9/11 head-on, we must stand together today to confront the challenges that continue to test our great nation.

Patriot Day serves as a solemn reminder of the strength and unity that defines America. It is a testament to our ability to overcome adversity, no matter how daunting the circumstances may be and work together with resilience of the American spirit.

Together, we can face the challenges of today and tomorrow with the same unwavering determination that has defined us since that fateful day in 2001. As your Congressional candidate, I pledge to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and prosperity of our great state and country.
