John —

Today, we remember the horrific terrorist attacks that struck our country 22 years ago.

As we reflect on September 11, 2001 and its impact on our country, please join me in remembering the bravery of our first responders, the lives tragically lost, and the survivors and families whose lives were forever altered as a result of such atrocity.

In the aftermath of this tragedy, we came together — one nation struggling but united — and saw the best of humanity in response to the worst of humanity.

In these trying times, we must remember what is best about our country — liberty, equality, freedom — and we must continue to rally around and strengthen these ideals. It is the best way for us to honor the heroism we saw and the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Sincerely,
Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr.
