John,
The legacy of Jim Crow voter suppression is alive and well. While the approach is different, the strategy of limiting voting rights for communities of color remains the same. From purging voter rolls without justification to limiting early voting opportunities, they are deliberately attempting to silence Black, brown, and young voters nationwide.
DFA is at the forefront of this battle, fighting tooth and nail against these oppressive measures with a multi-pronged strategy.
We are on the ground, meeting with elected leaders across the nation, holding educational town halls, conducting trainings, and mobilizing voters. We are ensuring that everyone, regardless of their race, age, or background, has an equal opportunity to cast their vote.
Building on this momentum, our advocacy for Vote by Mail has seen a surge, with 76,643 messages sent out. Additionally, our relentless push for more accessible voting has resulted in 43,376 letters advocating for an increase in ballot drop boxes. We're not stopping there. We're actively championing Rank Choice Voting in 9 pivotal states to ensure every vote carries its weight. Furthermore, our One Person One Vote initiative has resonated with many, amassing the support of over 102,610 individuals.
Your support is the backbone of our movement. Every dollar you contribute amplifies our voice, strengthens our initiatives, and brings us one step closer to a truly representative democracy. Now, more than ever, we need you by our side. Donate today and be a part of this transformative journey.
As long as we have hundreds of racist voter suppression laws being jammed through by Republican-controlled state legislatures, none of our rights are safe. And with a near-record number of new restrictive voting laws passed so far this year, it is clear that Republicans at all levels know they can’t win unless they successfully suppress the right to vote.
That’s why we're mobilizing communities, educating voters, and challenging unjust laws at every turn, ensuring that no voice is silenced, no right is denied, and our democracy remains vibrant and inclusive for all.
With such strides and momentum, we're poised to make even greater impacts. But we can't do it alone. To continue making progress on building a more inclusive, representative democracy we must protect our rights, take on Republican voter suppression, and win.
When we talk about fighting voter suppression, it's not just a battle for the present; it's a commitment to future generations so join us in this urgent battle. Every dollar you donate fuels our fight against voter suppression.
Together, we can ensure that democracy prevails.
