Dear John,

The United Nations just released a sobering report on Friday that evaluates the world's progress in the fight against climate change. Regrettably, the findings are stark: the world is falling far short of the necessary actions required to halt the climate crisis. This alarming report has garnered significant attention in the media – with stories in the The New York Times, BBC and Washington Post among others quoting WRI experts and data on the current state of climate action.

As disheartening as the topline of this report may be, we won’t slow down or be discouraged. We must continue advancing solutions that benefit people, nature, and the climate, and we must continue providing trusted evidence and data that empowers leaders and communities to create a more sustainable and equitable world.

We can still turn things around and secure a sustainable, prosperous future for people all around the world, John. But we need your support. Will you power our work with a donation today?
