Today, I hope you will join me in remembering the thousands of men and women we lost on this day 22 years ago and honor their memories and the extraordinarily brave citizens and first responders who ran to aid them.

To everyone in our region affected by the terrible tragedy of September 11th, 2001, my thoughts are with you today. As long as I am able to cast my vote, I will continue to advocate for victims and survivors and support the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund – the fund created to pay out claims for deaths, illnesses, and other ongoing impacts caused by that terrible day.

Let us remember that we are stronger together, and let us live each day by our uniquely American values of brotherhood, unity, and courage in the face of adversity.
