God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1
John,
We must never forget.
On this day 22 years ago, evil tried to bring us down. We lost 2,977 innocent souls who should forever be remembered as heroes.
Our enemies thought they won that day. But oh, how wrong they were.
With faith in God and faith in each other, we strengthened our resolve. We responded in our darkest hour with what President Bush called the best of America.
Today, I ask you to join me in praying for our fellow Americans who lost loved ones on September 11th, 2001.
Join me in praying for our military servicemembers and first responders who keep us safe.
Join me in praying for our nation.
Let us honor the fallen and recommit ourselves to ensuring America continues to be the shining city on the hill, the beacon in the midst of the storm, the brightest light of hope and freedom in all the world.
God Bless America,
