Today marks 22 years since our country was shaken by an unthinkable act of terror on our people.September 11, 2001 is one of the darkest days I can remember. The acts of terror on this day aimed to divide us as we mourned those we lost that day. But in the immediate aftermath, we came together as Americans, putting aside our differences and uniting with resilience and compassion.

Today, we honor the memory of the men, women, and children we lost, and the first responders that fought to save others.

This day taught us to be strong, even in times of crisis. Now, we must continue to honor the lives lost and sacrifices made, putting our differences aside and ensuring that the country and our democracy remain strong.
