22 years ago, the lives of every American changed in an instant. For only the second time in modern history, our nation was under assault. 

But we were undeterred. God bless the firefighters, First Responders, and civilians who lost their lives in the attacks - we will never forget your sacrifice. 

Thank you to the American troops all over the world who are committed to ensuring we never endure another tragedy like this on our own soil. We are all indebted to your service and sacrifice. 

I wish you and your family well as we come together to mourn the events of 9/11 and remember the resiliency of the American spirit.
