Dear Friends,

Today we pause to reflect upon the tragic events of September 11, 2001. On that day, our nation was viciously attacked by terrorists bent on destroying our way of life.

Thousands of innocent Americans died as a result of these attacks. Yet, through the horrors of this event, we saw the best of Americans. We saw first responders risking their own lives ? willingly running into the collapsing buildings ? as they sought to save the lives of strangers. Sadly, many of those heroes were unable to emerge from the wreckage.

We remember those men and women who lost their lives so tragically 22 years ago today. It is a day that I have never forgotten and will never forget. The United States was shaken that day, but we did, and always will, come back stronger!
