Friend,
Today marks 22 years since our nation was attacked by terrorists motivated by hate and evil. The memories of that tragic day remain etched in our hearts, and the names and stories of the men, women, and children who lost their lives will forever hold a special place in our collective memory.
September 11th, 2001 forever changed the course of our history. I clearly remember that day, the chaos and panic that marked Washington as I watched the tragic events unfold from my office blocks away from the White House.
Today is a reminder of the first responders - from firefighters to police officers to volunteers - who worked tirelessly in the aftermath of this tragedy. Their unwavering bravery served as a beacon of hope and resilience during those dark days, ultimately uniting our nation in a way we had never experienced before.
I hope you will join me today in remembering the lives lost in these attacks and honoring the first responders and volunteers who worked tirelessly to help unify our country.
Today is a reminder of the strength of our country and that we are stronger when we are united.
– Debbie
