John,

We all know where we were and what we were doing 22 years ago today America changed forever on that fateful day.

On September 11, 2001, almost 3,000 Americans lost their lives, and countless first responders are still suffering the effects of this tragic attack.

But, through the indomitable American spirit, our Country survived. Our first responders and military active duty and veterans are living proof of our resilience and “can do” attitude every day.

I believe that this spirit is woven into the fabric of who we are as people and as a country.

I’m proud to have served the greatest country on Earth, and I will never forget everyone who gave their lives for it.

I’m not afraid to say it: I’m honored to be an American.

Thank you, and God bless the United States of America.
