Last weekend, it was confirmed that the destructive wildfires in Lahaina – which burned at least 2,170 acres on the island of Maui – have been 100% contained.
While the end of these month-long fires is a massive relief to the survivors in Maui and their loved ones, there is still a long way to go on the road to recovery:
Nearly 3,000 people have lost their homes and/or access to power.
Over 2,200 structures were destroyed in the fires.
At least 200 people are still missing.
And at least 115 people have died.
