Last weekend, it was confirmed that the destructive wildfires in Lahaina – which burned at least 2,170 acres on the island of Maui – have been 100% contained.

While the end of these month-long fires is a massive relief to the survivors in Maui and their loved ones, there is still a long way to go on the road to recovery:

Nearly 3,000 people have lost their homes and/or access to power.
Over 2,200 structures were destroyed in the fires.
At least 200 people are still missing.
And at least 115 people have died.

The Hawaii Community Foundation is still in need of donations for survivors in Maui – and all gifts will provide rapid relief where it’s needed most in the aftermath of the devastating wildfires.
