September 10, 2023

Dear Georgian,

Tomorrow marks the 22nd anniversary of September 11, 2001. We remember the lives that were lost during the tragic attacks that day, and we also honor the heroes and families who continue to suffer from the effects of the attacks today. We will never forget the sacrifices and bravery of our first responders.

September is Passport Awareness Month, and the U.S. Department of State recommends applying for your passport 6-9 months ahead of your travel plans, especially for destinations with strict validity requirements. For more information about passport applications and renewals, visit here

As always, my staff and I are here to help. If you need assistance with a federal agency or have comments or concerns to share with me, please do not hesitate to call my Warner Robins, Tifton, or Washington, D.C. offices. To receive frequent updates, I encourage you to visit my website, like my Facebook page, follow me on YouTube, and follow me on Twitter.

Sincerely,

Congressman Austin Scott
