Dear Name,
As I tuck my 10-year-old son into bed each night, I’m reminded of why the
fight for climate justice is personal for me and families like mine. My
son has asthma. Attacks can come without warning, turning a normal evening
into moments of fear. He’s just a child, but he has to deal with the
impact decades of fossil fuel reliance and environmental negligence.
Our country's heavy support and subsidization of fossil fuels is no
accident – big polluters have been pumping money into our government for
years. Getting fossil fuel money out politics is a Democratic value and
scientific necessity, and yet despite touting his scientific background,
it's one that my opponent refuses to uphold. He continues to accept money
from the very fossil fuel and energy companies that cause children like
mine to stay inside when forest fires and climate change destroy the air
quality.

With your support, we can fight for cleaner air, not just for my son, but
for every child. We're building a campaign for the people, by the people,
because Justice Can't Wait.
Best wishes,
Qasim Rashid
