We talk a lot at Team Scholten about extremism in Michigan, but what does that actually look like in action? Here are some recent examples of the extremism we fight tooth and nail against here at Team Scholten in Michigan.

This fall, Michigan Republicans will be hearing from two MAGA extremists who deny the results of the 2020 election. Why? It seems to us that Michigan Republicans are gearing up to rig the 2024 election for a four-time indicted leader and former president.

In case we forgot exactly what Michigan Republicans did in 2020, a recent indictment of the November 2022 Republican candidate for state attorney general might jog our memory.

On the same day Trump was indicted, Michigan Republican Matthew DePerno was charged with undue possession of and willfully damaging a voting machine and conspiracy to commit undue possession of a voting machine and false pretenses. Extremism is everywhere, and if we don’t beat it in Michigan, it could have far-reaching effects on the future of American Democracy.
