As we close out the Summer months, there are number of major issues being considered in Washington:» This week, Congress is working to reach a deal to avoid a government shutdown and keep federal offices fully functioning. Kevin McCarthy's extreme allies are already threatening a shutdown if their extreme, far-right demands aren't met.

» Democrats in the Senate are moving forward with an ethics complaint against Supreme Court Justices. This comes in the wake of more revelations of possible ethics violations by Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.

» The probe into former President Trump’s interference in the 2020 Presidential Election is still underway.
