I wanted to reach out and just check in with you. While Congress is attempting to find a solution to keep the U.S. Government open, I can’t help but think about what I would be doing in this situation.

But before I tell you what I would do, can you chip in $20 now to give me a quick EOQ boost?

As we know, Republicans in Washington would rather watch Americans suffer from a shutdown than get it together and fight across the aisle to get things done. If I were in Congress, I would be fighting day in and day out for the countless Michiganders who wouldn’t get paid as government employees, the veterans who would stop receiving healthcare, and so much more. The actions of this Congress affect all of us.

It’s time people step in and do something. It’s time to put aside petty politics and really think about the needs of the American people and why representatives are hired in the first place.

And I’m ready to fight for all. So if you’re tired of the same in-fighting and representatives continuously putting party over people, chip in and help me to get to Congress.
