you have every right to be angry – but I hope you’ll do something about this

Friend,

Tuesday was truly a dark day for our nation.

The U.S. Senate held a vote on two urgently-needed pro-life bills to ban painful late-term abortions after 5 months, and to ban INFANTICIDE.

I wish I could be writing to you today with better news. I wish every single one of our nation’s leaders had even the slightest bit of respect for the science of fetal development, and even just a shred of humanity.

But Tuesday afternoon, 42 Democratic senators and 2 shamefully pro-abortion Republican senators voted NO on the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. This bill would ban abortions after 5 months, a point by which science shows unborn babies can feel the excruciating pain of an abortion. It would have been a strong step forward in our fight to protect every single innocent human life.

Then the Senate voted on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, a bill that would ensure every newborn infant receives the same standard of medical care – whether they’re born in the labor & delivery unit of a hospital – or “accidentally” born alive in an abortion facility. It grieves me deeply to update you that 41 heartless U.S. senators voted against this bill. They voted FOR INFANTICIDE.

Even though we had more than 50% “yes” votes on each bill, because of the 60-vote threshold in the Senate, neither of these bills was passed Tuesday.

I know that – like me – you are unspeakably angry that elected officials could callously say “NO” to these two compassionate pro-life bills. But I hope that you don’t stop there. Instead, direct your outrage into ACTION on behalf of the innocent unborn (and born) babies whose lives are threatened by an out-of-control abortion industry.

Three unapologetically pro-life senators took to the Senate floor to refute the Big Abortion Lobby’s myths about these bills, and to plead with their Democratic colleagues to show compassion and vote YES.

Now I want you to watch their speeches, and then help me spread them EVERYWHERE:

Sen. Tom Cotton: Facebook | Twitter | Instagram

Sen. Ted Cruz: Facebook | Twitter | Instagram

President Trump has promised he’ll sign both of these bills once they get to his desk. We won’t stop fighting until they do – and until every precious unborn (and born) child is safe.

Please share these powerful speeches on all your social media – and forward this email to your friends so they can watch and be inspired to join you in the fight.

Thank you for raising your voice for the voiceless!

For LIFE,
