Last night, a 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains, killing at least 1,000 people and injuring thousands more. Tragically, the death toll continues to rise as local rescuers try to save those trapped under the rubble. Earthquake survivors could require medical care like surgery and dialysis, which can be a daunting challenge when local health systems are disrupted, and many essential supplies will likely be needed in the days ahead.
When a crisis like the one in Morocco strikes, we are able to immediately mobilize–sometimes within a matter of hours. Your generous support means we don’t have to wait to write grants or face red tape and restrictions—we can immediately get to work saving lives.
