"We're all standing together and fighting. And what we have to do now is defend ourselves from these right wing politicians" - Gov. Roy Cooper

Team, it’s Roy Cooper, Governor of North Carolina, and I have a special request. Don’t worry, I’m not asking you for money, but I do need your input. Will you take two minutes and complete our September Priority Survey? We’re counting on top supporters to tell us where they stand on the most important issues facing our nation.

BEGIN HERE

Team, I am going to give it to you straight. Right now, Republicans are enacting an all-out assault on the freedom to vote. In state after state, radical Republicans are pushing for stricter election restrictions that are designed to keep our most marginalized communities out of the voting booth.

11 states have enacted anti-voting laws so far this year. And right here in North Carolina, Republicans are on the offensive, using the advice of Trump’s handpicked election denier Cleta Mitchell, to attack the right to vote under the guise of ‘election security.’ I vetoed that bill, but I know this isn’t the end.

Let me be clear. Attempts to strip Americans of their freedom to vote have nothing to do with protecting our elections and everything to do with keeping and gaining power.

If you’re a young person – Republicans don’t want you to vote.
If you’re a college student away from home – Republicans don’t want you to vote.
If you vote by mail – Republicans don’t want you to vote.
If you use a ballot collection box to turn in your ballot – Republicans don’t want you to vote.
And if you’re Black or brown – Republicans don’t want you to vote.

Team, they’ve done their research, and they know that these voters could change the balance of power in key states. They’ll do anything in their power to stop that from happening.

So, we need to connect with top grassroots supporters who can help our team make informed strategic decisions and stop the GOP’s assault on voting rights.

That’s where you come in, team. I’m reaching out to DGA supporters who have proven to be highly engaged, up-to-date on the latest news, and passionate about the issues we’re facing – and asking them to take the DGA’s September Priorities Survey. Your name is on that list.

So I’m asking: Will you use the personalized link below and begin the DGA’s September Priorities Survey before midnight tonight so that we can better understand what Democrats across the country are most concerned about?

Thank you for joining me in this fight,

Roy Cooper
Governor of North Carolina

Roy Cooper was reelected to a second term as governor because he’s a fighter for good-paying jobs, strong public schools, access to quality, affordable health care, and a safer and more just North Carolina. He’s the kind of commonsense leader we can count on to protect democracy and safeguard reproductive rights from Republican attacks.

In 2022, he led the DGA to historic victories reelecting Democratic governors nationwide and flipping three red states BLUE during the midterm elections.

Will you answer his call to action and begin the DGA’s September Priority Survey before midnight tonight?
