Today’s the day, friend.

There are only a few hours left for Conservative leadership hopefuls to file their official paperwork, and soon we’ll know the full roster of candidates in their race to replace Andrew Scheer.

Based on their contest so far, I’d say it’s Throwback Thursday – with all of the leading candidates showing how they’d take Canada backward to the same-old divisive politics and damaging cuts of the Harper years.

Here’s a quick look at just some of what they’ve said so far:

While the Conservatives want to take us backwards, Justin Trudeau and the Liberal team are moving forward with our plan to invest in the middle class, grow an economy that works for everyone, fight climate change, and keep Canadians healthy and safe.

Just this week, a new Statistics Canada report confirmed that more than 1 million Canadians have been lifted out of poverty since 2015 – including 334,000 children and 73,000 seniors. It's an important example of how your support makes a real difference every day

As the Conservative Party begins the next phase of its efforts to roll back our progress, it's clear we need to be ready now to step up and keep Canada moving forward. Friend, that starts by meeting or beating our crucial $200,000 end-of-February goal for grassroots online fundraising.
