In the last 50 years, North America lost 3 billion birds. Currently, there are at least 559 Latin American and Caribbean bird species at risk of extinction.
To effectively address this urgent biodiversity loss, the National Audubon Society, BirdLife International, and Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) joined forces to form the Americas Flyways Initiative—a hemispheric approach to tackling our climate change crises through nature- and community-based solutions.
