Over the past few months, I traveled our great state and met with folks from all 39 counties. On this listening tour, I heard from Washingtonians from all walks of life, on both sides of the mountains.
One thing is clear: there’s too much at stake to let someone like anti-choice Republican Dave Reichert become our next governor.
Washingtonians value the freedom to make their own health care decisions, to breathe clean air and drink clean water, to be free from discrimination, and to make a living wage in a safe work environment.
I’ve always made it a priority to fight for all Washingtonians. I’ll keep it up as governor, and continue delivering for our economy, our environment, and working families across the state.
But I can’t win without your support. The last two gubernatorial elections without an incumbent had an average margin of victory of just 1.5%. And the last time there was an open seat, the Republican Governor’s Association spent more than $11 million.
