Hi,

Trump’s U.S.-Mexico border wall could still get built thanks to GOP
extremists in Congress.

Trump allies in the Senate have snuck in a provision to fund the border
wall into the annual defense spending bill, also known as the NDAA.^1 We
cannot let Congress quietly fund Trump’s wall — it’s time to show our
lawmakers that we see what’s happening and we won’t stand for it.

The GOP proposal would force the Defense Department to restart border wall
construction.^2 President Biden stopped most construction along the
southwest border when he took office, but MAGA Republicans in Congress
have continued their divisive, hateful, wasteful attempts to build a giant
barrier between Mexico and the United States.

The NDAA, the bill to fund the military, is passed every year with
bipartisan support – and a bevy of controversial amendments. If we fail to
show our lawmakers that we want to stop the border wall provision, it
could end up in the final bill.

in the NDAA.
