Today, September 9th, is the fourth annual World EV Day! It is a day of action that brings together international thought leaders, companies and policy makers to further to propel the transition to zero emissions vehicles across the globe.
Worldwide EV sales exceeded more than US $10 million in 2022—and the demand is only going to continue to increase. As this demand increases so will the need for EV batteries. This can have significant environmental and social impacts if not sourced responsibly.
The guidebook outlines three key areas in the EV battery supply chain where major fleets operators can have the greatest positive impact and provides recommendations for responsible corporate action. Large fleets and major companies have significant influence and a pivotal role to play in improving the EV battery supply chain.
