Study of 150,000 Lawmaker Votes Exposes Republicans as Less Committed to Conservative Policy than Democrats Are to Liberal Policy

CPAC Study Reveals Democrats are More Principled Than Republicans |
CPAC Foundation’s Center for Legislative Accountability released a study on Thursday of 150,000 different votes and all 7,400 state lawmakers that shows Republicans voted for conservative legislation 10.69% less than Democrats voted for liberal legislation. The study vitally exposes Republican lawmakers for their insincerity in keeping campaign promises and challenges American voters to hold their elected officials accountable. The Daily Wire broke down the report in an article on Thursday, reporting that "Democrat state lawmakers are more unified and committed to a leftist ideology than Republican lawmakers are to conservatism, according to a report from the Conservative Political Action Conference." |

Brian Harrison Talks Ken Paxton Impeachment on America Uncanceled |
Texas state representative Brian Harrison came on America Uncanceled with Matt and Mercedes Schlapp this week with his firsthand perspective on the impeachment proceedings of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. CPAC released a statement last week opposing the impeachment as an attempt to subvert the will of Texans, who only recently voted Paxton into office once again. Harrison likewise sees it as a reversal of the election results and further described the proceedings as a distraction from the real issues Texans care about. Hear Harrison’s full take on Tuesday’s episode of America Uncanceled. |
A Message to North Carolina |
"Transparency is Dying in the Darkness" |
CPAC continues to keep a close eye on the tax cut bill in North Carolina that radically expands gambling in the state. In light of news of growing opposition to the bill, CPAC had this message for North Carolina legislators on Thursday in a post on X:
“Lots of troubling reports of backroom deals and arm twisting coming out of North Carolina. A full-scale expansion of gaming, including video terminals and new casinos, is being wedged into a budget bill that was supposed to be about tax cuts for the people of the state. Transparency is dying in the darkness. Freedom Caucus Members – Stand Strong and hold the line.”
