VIDEO OF THE DAY: Mark Meadows suffers massive loss in Georgia RICO case
In what was widely considered a preview to the disgraced former president's own attempt to throw a wrench into Fulton County DA Fani Willis' RICO case against him and 19 co-conspirators, U.S. District Judge Steve Jones denied Mark Meadows' motion to move his case to federal court. This means Trump's plans to demand a similar move likely just went up in smoke. Sorry Donny! Looks like actions do have consequences after all!

NY AG accuses Trump of overstating net worth up to $3.6 billion per year
Just when you think we've reached the bottom of the ex-president's pit of grifts and scams, the ground gives way beneath our feet and a new depth of depravity is uncovered. How this man is allowed to run a lemonade stand, let alone a business – let alone a country – is beyond us.

It's push come to shove in the fight for safe abortion pills!
Center for Reproductive Rights: The maker of mifepristone has just filed an appeal to the Supreme Court to reverse the ruling that would cut off mail-order access to abortion pills, further curtailing access to abortion at a critical time for American women. This is a huge opportunity to restore access to abortion pills, but the legal battle is not going to be easy. Will you chip in to support the Center for Reproductive Rights and their fight to protect our access to medication abortion?
Ukraine is furious with Elon Musk for thwarting attack on Russia's navy
Is anyone surprised that the guy who bought the global public square and thinks only he is enlightened enough to decided what should be censored and who should be canceled now thinks he is entitled to decide who should win a war?

NYPD cops rough up migrants in chaotic moped raid
What started as an early morning operation to clear mopeds from the front of a migrant shelter quickly escalated when people who rely on them to get to work protested. Officers soon began wielding their stun guns and knocking migrants down to the ground. “They grabbed them, they threw him on the ground like an animal, and one had his knee on his neck," a man told reporters in Spanish. So much for "give us your tired, your weak, your huddled masses..."

Georgia Grand jury recommended charges against Lindsey Graham
The long awaited Special Grand Jury report that preceded the indictments in the ex-grifter in chief’s conspiracy to steal Georgia's electoral votes from Joe Biden was released Friday, and it's a doozy! Republicans were hoping to find evidence in the report that Fulton County DA Fani Willis overreached when she indicted the MAGA cult leader and his minions, but the report shows the exact opposite. Willis held back and didn't indict three GOP senators, including South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, despite the grand jury recommending she do so.

Twitter ‘unfit’ for banking over alleged complicity in Saudi rights abuses
Tech bozo Elon Musk's ambitions to turn Twitter – now X – into an "everything app" that can facilitate financial transactions suffered a huge setback Friday when lawyers for a Saudi citizen accused his company of allowing Saudi government officials to breach user privacy protocols and access personal data to arrest, torture and imprison their client and others. In fairness, this happened before Musk took over and began running Twitter into the ground, but he's done nothing at all to restore confidence in the once beloved app.

Hospital sued thousands of patients during COVID pandemic
Arkansas’ flagship public health sciences university decided that the middle of the pandemic was the perfect time to sue over 3,000 patients – including hundreds of their own employees! – for unpaid medical bills and other outstanding charges. This is literally like suing a man for peeing in your pool as he’s drowning in it. Shame on you Arkansas!
The U.S. Navy wasted billions on "Crappy Little Ships," new report reveals
An exposé by ProPublica has uncovered a new pork barrel buffet set up by the Department of Defense, defense contractors, and their Republican enablers in congress. This time, the main course is an entire fleet of small littoral ships that only operate near shore and break down all the time, leaving taxpayers on the hook for $100 billion! But tell us again why we can't afford to feed children in our public schools?
