Dear John,
Seeing the toll that Alzheimer's disease has taken on my mother, Yolanda (or as we call her, Yoli) inspired me to start a Walk to End Alzheimer's® team in her honor.
Alzheimer's has stolen my mother's ability to talk. But when my family and friends participate in Walk, we speak volumes for her! Together, we raise funds and awareness to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Almost two-thirds of Americans with Alzheimer's are women. There are so many Yolis out there — and there will be too many to count on the horizon — unless we take action today.
Walk teams are forming now in more than 600 communities nationwide. Please start or join a team and help us lead the way to Alzheimer's first survivor.
