A quick recap on how your support helped save lives this past week:
Rick May Have Lost A Leg, But He Gained A Purpose, And It’s All Thanks To YOU

Rick was a typical Oklahoma throwaway. A big, beautiful, yellow lab who ended up with people who didn’t value or appreciate him.
His photo was posted on Facebook expressing the intent to give him away to anyone who would take a dog with something “funky” with their front leg. But his former family was sure to mention that it didn’t seem to bother him.
Luckily, A Lab for Life immediately came to Rick’s rescue. It turns out that his “funky” front leg was a badly broken forearm that had been left untreated for most of his young life. Whether or not his former family was aware of the severity of this injury is unknown.
After a failed attempt to save his poorly healed leg with surgery, it was determined that it would have to be amputated.
Where You Come In, Hero:
By shopping at iHeartDogs.com, YOU are making a meaningful difference in the lives of dogs like Rick.
Rick, once a rescue dog himself, now serves as a joyful and healthy welcome ambassador at A Lab for Life Rescue. He eagerly greets and comforts new labs in need who enter the care of the rescue. In addition, Rick has the important role of taste-testing all the delicious treats that arrive in the pallets of food. Unsurprisingly, this good boy has given his enthusiastic "paws up" to every donation received so far.
YOU are making a real difference and spreading happiness one treat at a time. Thank you for your continued support.
THANK YOU for saving mighty Rick 💪❤️
