We spend way too much time in politics dividing people rather than communicating and collaborating to get results on the ground.

I know we need to come together across rural and urban divides, across economic divides, to solve our problems.

Over the last seven years, I've seen every county and every corner of this state. Our communities are struggling under the weight of the same challenges: our public schools need proper funding, and we're seeing a rise in homelessness and unemployment while climate change and the economy run rampant.

As commissioner of public lands, I've used Washington's Department of Natural Resources to generate funds for our most pressing challenges. As our next governor, I'll ensure our state invests in you, our hard-working people.
