It’s Friday and I’m winding down the week, and I had an extra few minutes. So I wanted to share a few thoughts with you.
Look, there are a number of you receiving this email who have been with me since before my first run for Congress.
There are a number of you who joined at some point in the last few elections.
And, if we’re being honest, there are a lot of folks reading this email simply because I am running against Kyrsten Sinema.
Here’s the truth:
No matter why you are reading this, I am thankful for you.
People like me don’t often make it to Congress.
I’m the son of Latino immigrants, who, with my three sisters, was raised by my single mother. I was the first in my family to attend college, cleaning the toilets of my classmates to make it work, and then I joined the Marine Corps and went to Iraq.
The only reason I am here is because of the support I’ve had along the way.
As a kid, the support from my family.
In combat, the support of my fellow Marines.
In these campaigns, support from people like you.
But now I have a new mission: replacing Kyrsten Sinema and voting to expand voting rights, protect abortion rights, take on drug companies and hedge fund managers and be a voice and a vote for working people in the Senate.
I need your help. So please:
Can you make a contribution to my campaign? We’ve started this month off too slowly, and we’re heading into an extremely important FEC deadline at the end of this month. I need your help to get things back on track before it’s too late.

Thank you in advance for chipping in before this deadline ends. It means a lot.
