Texas Molecular has more than four decades of experience in safely managing water and disposing of wastewater. Thank you, Texas Molecular, for having us! Rep. Troy E. Nehls Tours Third Coast Chemicals This week, I was able to tour Third Coast Chemicals in Pearland, Texas, a full-service chemical distribution company. During the tour, we discussed several issues affecting their business, including labor shortages and supply chain disruptions. Ensuring local businesses have the support they need from the federal government is key to the economic growth of the 22nd Congressional District of Texas and our region. The top 50 applicants will receive an intimate and in-depth understanding of the role of our nation’s lawmakers and be asked to provide fresh ideas from the council’s mock Congress. This program is a one-day event intended to bolster student experience and enhance resumes. To allow more students to apply to the Congressional Youth Academy, the date to submit a completed application has been moved to September 23, 2023. The Congressional Youth Academy will now be held on October 21, 2023. More details will be released upon acceptance to the program. The checklist and application can be found on my website. One of the privileges of serving in the United States House of Representatives is the opportunity to nominate outstanding young people from the 22nd Congressional District of Texas to be considered for appointment to our nation’s service academies. Admission to a service academy is a two-tiered process. First, the candidate must meet the minimum standards set by the individual academy. Second, the candidate must complete the congressional application by October 6, 2023, to be considered for an interview in our office with the nomination review board. Please note, the ultimate selection of appointees rests solely with academy officials and is based on their competitive evaluation of all nominees.
