It's been quite the summer, friends.
From late-night voting sessions in Washington to hosting community events in IL-13 to hear directly from folks about the issues that matter most to them, saying the last few months have been busy for Nikki would be an understatement.
But this should come as no surprise. Nikki made a promise to work with anyone and everyone to get things done for working families across Central and Southern Illinois — and that’s exactly what she’s done since coming to Congress.
Just this summer, she introduced four bipartisan bills, including the Rebuild Rural America Act, to deliver critical funding and resources to address issues facing rural communities like limited access to health care, high-speed internet, and aging infrastructure.
And her work hasn’t stopped there. When she wasn’t in Washington working with her colleagues to overcome partisan gridlock and make progress for the American people, she was back home in the district, hosting U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack — who both announced millions in funding that will go towards projects and grants to improve our district.
From working as a labor activist to serving in Congress, Nikki has dedicated her career to improving the lives of working families everywhere, and she’s never backed down from a tough fight.
While she’s busy fighting her heart out for the people of Central and Southern Illinois, it’s our job to fight just as hard to protect her seat — and trust us, with two right-wing opponents already in the race, we’ve got a long fight ahead.
If the last few weeks have proven anything, it’s that families across our district need a leader who will break through the noise to get things done. If you agree, will you chip in today to support Nikki’s reelection campaign?
