Help us do it again.

Demand Yasaman’s unconditional release! Take action now.

Dear John,

Advocates like you have succeeded in winning the release of Iranian prisoners of conscience before. Now, it’s time to do it again!

But you must act quickly. Our window of opportunity is now.

Yasaman Aryani, a young Iranian human rights activist, has just had her sentence reduced from 16 years in prison — to nine years and seven months.

We’ve been mobilizing our global movement on Yasaman’s behalf — putting our energy and expertise to work to bring her home.

It seems like the Iranian authorities are listening to our voices. But even one more day in prison is one too many. We must leverage this moment to demand her unconditional and immediate release. Please take action right now.

With her hair uncovered, Yasaman handed out flowers to women passengers on a train in Iran. It was International Women’s Day, and Yasaman — a young actor who loves mountain climbing — peacefully protested Iran’s forced veiling laws in an inspiring act of defiance.

A video of her brave act went viral, prompting Iran’s authorities to arrest her. Yasaman was sentenced to a shocking 16-year prison term — all because she believes women should have the freedom to choose what they wear.

Now, we must generate a groundswell of support for Yasaman and show Iranian leaders that the world is watching.

Take action and demand her unconditional release.
