1.
Oftentimes,
states
within
our
target
regions
are
overlooked
and
underfunded,
allowing
extreme
Republicans
to
overpower
communities
with
dangerous,
divisive
policies.
2.
3.
When
folks
do
invest
in
these
areas,
however,
the
impact
is
huge.
Just
look
at
states
like
Ohio
and
Kentucky,
where
abortion
rights
activists
were
able
to
mobilize
people
to
the
polls
when
reproductive
freedom
was
on
the
ballot.
4.
5.
These
areas
are
home
to
states
that
decide
major
elections.
Building
progressive
power
across
the
Deep
South
is
what
ultimately
led
to
Georgia
flipping
blue,
which
was
pivotal
in
electing
President
Biden
and
securing
the
Democratic
Senate
majority.

As you can see, when we put the work in, communities across our target regions respond by turning out to the polls, winning competitive races, and upending decades of conservative power that has gone unchallenged for far too long.
