Huge Mahalo to all of those who came to the Windward Listening Tour held Thursday, August 31. It was great to hear from you and to collaborate for the future. We looked at the online survey to see what most concerns people as well as an interactive survey that was available at the event. It was a great way to see what everyone present was thinking about certain situations such as "What contributes to the high cost of living in Hawaii?" and "Have you ever thought about moving away from Hawaii due to the cost of living?" - results were immediately seen on the screen. Anyone was able to come up to a mic and share their concerns. It allowed for great dialogue. If you are in Central Oahu, our next stop is Mililani, so please come out and let your voice be heard. We are 'flipping the script' and instead of the normal town hall, we are asking you what your top concerns are. In fact you can take the survey and ask your question, comment or ideas right now. Follow the link below and share it with your circle of friends and family!
We plan to take your concerns and build our Bill Package for the upcoming 2024 Session beginning in January.
You set the agenda by sending us questions as well as taking our survey.

INTERVIEW WITH SAMARITAN'S PURSE
ABOUT THE LAHAINA RELIEF EFFORTS
Continue to pray for the community of Lahaina. There are currently 385 people unaccounted for. This comes from the FBI. As social media continues to be a wide source of information both good and bad, we ask that you focus on the people affected by this tragedy. With 115 lost lives, imagine the families and friends that are directly mourning this terrible situation. Representative Lauren Matsumoto caught up with Jeremy Zerkle of Samaritan's Purse discussing what they are doing on the ground and how anyone can help in their work. Here is the link to the interview.
Over the last few weeks, we have been interviewed on various national news outlets. You can see the clips on our YouTube page here
