Dear John,

Listening to you is one of the most important parts of my job as your Congressman. Last week, I hosted a telephone town hall and around 5,600 of you joined us! We had a great discussion where I gave an update on my work for North Texas and answered your questions about lowering costs, expanding public transportation, protecting our planet while creating good-paying jobs here in Texas, and a variety of other topics. I was joined by representatives from DART and the VA.

During my telephone town hall, I discussed how I am working to help move the high-speed rail project between Dallas and Houston forward. This project will create jobs, reduce congestion and further connect our economies. Listen to the audio clip here.

I also heard from Beckett, an 11-year-old from Dallas, who asked about sustainable energy in North Texas.
