Next Thursday, September 14th at 11:59 PM nearly 150,000 auto workers’ contracts will expire! This could be the beginning of one of the BIGGEST strikes of the year.
The United Auto Workers (UAW) union is in the middle of negotiations with General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis, demanding things every worker has the right to expect from their employer:
- Fair pay increases
- Improved benefits and Pensions
- An end to the tiered wage system
- And job security for all workers during the transition to electric vehicle
But here’s the thing John, if these Greedy Big Corporations refuse to make a fair deal the UAW members have authorized the union to call a strike against the companies.
