I know my team has been emailing you a bunch about our new opponent, but it’s important to me that we don’t get too down about this. Yes, my opponent is the mayor of our largest city and he’s being branded as a “Dream Candidate” for Republicans. But, what national Republicans don’t realize, is how strong of a grassroots team we’ve built here in the Valley.

Together, we beat a sitting Republican Congressman, a MAGA extremist, and a corrupt County Supervisor in order to flip this seat blue and keep it that way. I won’t be going down without a fight.

Kevin McCarthy recruited my opponent because McCarthy is desperate to win back this seat and keep a GOP majority. And now McCarthy is putting his money where his mouth is and running thousands of dollars worth of negative ads against me.

Ok, not ideal, but also nothing that we can’t handle. We know how to win tough races - organize early, stick to our message, and outwork the competition.

This is likely going to be the most expensive race I’ve ever had and we’re going to have to spend earlier than ever to combat these negative ads. I know we can beat this guy and do our part to take back the House, but I cannot do it without your support. I need it now more than ever.
