This is important, John xxxxxx.

TODAY: Florida's majority-male Supreme Court is hearing a case about the 15-week abortion ban. If the court upholds the ban as expected, it will trigger an even stricter six-week ban, which was passed by the Republican-led state legislature earlier this year.

As we anticipate today’s decision from this conservative Florida court, we know we must continue the fight.

Here's the plan: In order to get a constitutional amendment protecting abortion access on the Florida ballot in November 2024, we must submit 891,523 valid petition signatures to the state by February 1, 2024.

We have launched Her Bold Move Florida specifically to focus on protecting abortion access in the South. This includes joining a coalition of voters and activists working to pass a constitutional amendment protecting access to abortion statewide. Will you help us fund this effort by rushing $12.50 (the cost of a petition) today?

According to an article published by NPR, Florida’s 6-week abortion ban hasn’t yet gone into effect pending today’s decision. Here’s what the hearing is about:

In the past, justices have held that a privacy clause in the state constitution protects access to abortion until viability. In a challenge going before the court [today], the justices, who are more conservative now than when that ruling was made in 1989, are expected to overturn that finding and uphold Florida's 15-week ban. -NPR

If that happens, the state’s six-week ban will be triggered.

Florida is one of the only remaining Southeastern states that currently allow abortion after six weeks. If the six-week ban goes into effect, people from states like Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas will have to travel even further for care.

We have launched Her Bold Move Florida to help ensure that the voters of Florida will be the ones to decide the fate of abortion rights in their state – not extremist politicians or DeSantis-appointed judges.

Will you help us fight for the future of abortion rights in Florida by rushing $20.23 or more right now? [link removed]

Let’s do this,
