Friend,
As the impeachment trial of Ken Paxton unfolds, each day brings new, shocking revelations that underscore the urgent need for change in Texas. Yesterday was no exception.

Watch Ryan Bangert, a former deputy in Paxton's office, speak out on the misuse of power within the OAG.
What Happened Yesterday:
New evidence showed Paxton attempted to release confidential FBI records to his associate, Nate Paul, a move that would have shattered decades of legal precedent.
Emotional testimonies from whistleblowers like Ryan Vassar and Ryan Bangert revealed the human cost of Paxton's alleged misconduct and the hijacking of the Attorney General's office for personal interests.
Paxton’s team continued to accuse whistleblowers of going "behind Ken Paxton's back," and portraying them as “disloyal” -- attempting to tarnish their reputations as Republican attorneys rather than actually being honest about the allegations that have been made against his client.
Paxton's campaign sent out yet another fundraising appeal, telling his supporters “with your help, I can be back in office by the end of the month.” He can legally use these campaign donations to pay his legal fees -- and is represented by a firm quickly founded by employees of the Office of the Attorney General who are now on leave to defend their former boss.
Ken Paxton and his attorney Tony Buzbee were conspicuously absent from the proceedings, further proving their disregard for the rule of law.
These revelations are not just an indictment of Paxton; they're a wake-up call for all Texans. We cannot allow our state's top law enforcement officer to operate above the law, putting his interests above those of the people he's sworn to serve.
We're fighting to hold Paxton Republicans accountable, but we can't do it alone. Your contribution will go directly towards our efforts to monitor this trial closely and lay the groundwork for electing Democrats -- including the next Attorney General -- who will uphold the rule of law.
