Hi Friend,

Our Annual Awards Gala is rapidly approaching and preparations are well underway. I hope that you’ll join us in Washington, D.C. on October 25th for the big event! If you haven’t done so yet, you can purchase your ticket HERE.

Last year, we announced our newest award named after a philanthropist who has supported many ventures to give back to children and others across the globe: The Diana Davis Spencer Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is bestowed upon an individual who, through her talents, hard work, and dedication, has made a lasting contribution to our country and to the cause of freedom.

This year, honoring an incredible legacy built together with her late husband, Independent Women’s Forum is excited to present the 2023 Diana Davis Spencer Lifetime Achievement Award to a true champion for good, Lynn Friess. Ms. Friess has given back in big ways through philanthropy, fueling powerful and purposeful people and organizations who are leaving forever footprints in the lives of millions of young minds.

Ms. Friess has spent more than a half-century using her talents and resources to improve her community and country. She has set an incredible example for women everywhere with her kindness, effectiveness, creativity, leadership, and generosity. She has also been instrumental in shaping public policy and enabling more people to pursue their own visions of happiness.

Together, Lynn and Foster Friess, founded Friess Associates, Inc. and have supported various innovative projects through the years in the conservative movement. Lynn continues her dedication to the philanthropy she and her husband shared, including Foster’s Outriders and the Lynn and Foster Friess Family Foundation which have provided scholarships, financed work for homeless people, supported water projects in Africa, and much more.

Last year, Lynn founded a women’s group in her home state of Wyoming called Active Women Engaging (AWE) to help inform women about political happenings and get them involved. A mother and grandmother of 15 grandchildren, Lynn is a “happy warrior” to the core, with no plans for slowing down in her priorities for the cause of freedom.

I hope you’ll join us in October to recognize Ms. Friess and celebrate IWF’s 18th Annual Awards Gala. Additional 2023 honorees include Libs of TikTok creator Chaya Raichik, New York Post and Fox News contributor Miranda Devine, and NBA star and human rights activist Enes Kanter Freedom.

Don’t miss your chance to meet Ms. Friess and other honorees in person and toast to the momentum and impact of IWF's work.
