ADL Releases New Report Focused on Left-Wing Antisemitism in Europe | |
ADL released a new report highlighting how expressions of anti-Israel bias from left-leaning political organizations in four European democracies have devolved into antisemitism and even violent attacks against local Jewish communities.
The report, which was co-authored with four European organizations, looks at the antisemitism and anti-Zionism of individuals and movements associated with left-wing political organizations in France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom and similar examples in the U.S.

In a related op-ed co-authored with ADL’s German partner the Amadeu Antonio Foundation, Marina Rosenberg, SVP for International Affairs, wrote that for too long, antisemitism from some elements of the European political left has been excused as “just criticism of Israel” or not worthy of attention, and that the time has come for it to be fought and rejected. |

ADL condemned a series of Palestinian terrorist attacks across the West Bank that targeted Israeli soldiers and civilians, resulting in several Israeli deaths and injuries.
In response to ongoing Jewish extremist attacks against Christians in Jerusalem, Carole Nuriel, Senior Director for Israel and MENA, wrote to Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion asking him to condemn the attacks, and published an op-ed calling on Israeli Jews to educate themselves about other religions in order to avoid stereotypes and marginalization.

Dalia Grinfeld, Associate Director of European Affairs, represented ADL at the annual gathering of the European Union of Jewish Students in Malaga, Spain, where she facilitated a workshop on “How to spot extremism symbols” utilizing ADL resources. She also participated in the
Moishe House Global Convention in Serbia, with 120 Jewish Moishe House residents from outside the US. |
