We are down to the wire in our fight to stop healthcare discrimination against transgender folks. Tuesday, August 13th, is the LAST DAY to submit comments to the Health Department telling Trump-Pence that you oppose this discriminatory proposal.

Here’s what we need you to do:
- If you’re trans or have close family/friends who are transgender: Submit a comment here sharing your story and explaining how the proposal would make things worse.
- If you’re an ally: Submit a comment here explaining your opposition.
If you haven’t heard of the #ProtectTransHealth and #PutPatientsFirst campaigns, it’s never too late to join in. The Trump-Pence Administration is trying to undermine the Health Care Rights Law to allow discrimination against transgender people in healthcare. They want a world where:
- Trans folks could be turned away at a hospital because medical staff are transphobic.
- Health insurance companies could deny coverage to trans folks simply because of their gender identity.
- Patients, providers, and insurers could be so confused by the regulation that it becomes much harder for transgender people to access life-saving care.
Trans and nonbinary young people seeking care deserve to be valued, respected, and treated with dignity. Take two minutes to help make that a reality today.
