sound abatement wall at Echo Point shooting range

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources Echo Point shooting range, located in Allegan State Game Area in Allegan County, has reopened following a monthslong construction project to install sound-reducing measures and other improvements.

Range improvements include installation of sound abatement walls, an automated entry/exit gate, accessible walkways and tree plantings.

Days and hours of operation will be Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. When daylight saving time ends Nov. 5, visitors should expect the hours to change to 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (subject to change).

Range improvements were made possible, in part, by funding from the Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration Act through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Echo Point Shooting Range is located at 3682 Monroe Road in Allegan, Michigan.
