Jack, New Hampshire Republicans are using Daily Kos' endorsement to attack state House candidate Hal Rafter:

Honestly, their attacks are kind of funny. Who knew that supporting access to healthcare or fighting to protect the environment were such terrible things? But this race is no laughing matter.

It's not surprising that Republicans are afraid of Rafter, who's running in the Sept. 19 special election to flip a key GOP-held seat in the New Hampshire House. Rafter ran for this seat last year and fell just 25 votes short of victory—less than two-tenths of a percent of the total vote. With the help of the Daily Kos community, Rafter has a very strong chance of winning this time.

A Democratic victory would help loosen the GOP's grip on New Hampshire politics. Republicans in the state House currently have the smallest majority in state history—and they could soon lose it if Democrats win this critical special election. In fact, if Rafter wins, he'd set Democrats on a path to forcing the chamber into an exact tie!
