That is how Bill Clinton won 69 percent of the electoral votes in 1992, despite winning only 43 percent of the popular vote in a three-way race.

And it explains how a No Labels Unity ticket could win in 2024.

The No Labels movement is on the ballots in 10 states for the 2024 presidential race, and on our way to 50 by next year. DC elites are waging a campaign to demonize and destroy No Labels, but every week offers new evidence that Americans are desperate for better choices than the ones both parties seem determined to force on us.

The latest evidence is a Wall Street Journal poll showing:

- Both Trump and Biden have under ([link removed] ) 40 percent approval ratings.
- 52 percent of voters view Trump “very unfavorably,” and 49 percent view Biden the same way.

The default DC elite position is that a third option can’t possibly compete with one of the major party nominees in 2024. But they’re missing the moment and ignoring the unique math of U.S. presidential elections.

Remember: Each state (with the small exceptions of Maine and Nebraska) gives all their electoral votes to whichever candidate gets the most votes. That means 533 of 538 electoral votes are awarded ([link removed] ) this way.

So, a No Labels ticket competing in a three-way presidential race would not need anything close to a majority of popular votes in any state to get a majority of its electoral votes.

No Labels latest battleground state poll shows 63 percent ([link removed] ) of voters open to voting for a moderate independent in the event of a Trump-Biden rematch. If a No Labels ticket ultimately won a bit more than half of this “open to” universe, it could have enough of the popular vote to realistically ([link removed] ) win 25 states, representing 286 electoral votes. That would clear the 270 threshold needed to win.

Don’t let anyone tell you it’s impossible for an independent to win the presidency.

The winning presidential ticket in a three-way race doesn’t need a majority of votes in any given state.
